For so many of us, learning how to live by whole foods has been transformative—a way to break free from medications and find true healing from the inside out.
For years, Duane and I thought we were making healthy choices, but our health declined slowly—until it felt like a sudden crash. Duane faced pre-diabetes, high blood pressure, hypothyroidism, glaucoma, COPD, and more. A serious blood clot became his wake-up call. I struggled with acid reflux, high blood pressure, eye issues, and persistent fatigue. Depression was creeping in.
Determined to see if food made a difference, we eliminated processed foods for one month starting February 1, 2023. The results were incredible—more energy, fewer symptoms, and drastic health improvements. Over the next year and a half, Duane went from eight daily pills to just one, and I eliminated all my medications. Our blood pressure stabilized, and our other health issues resolved—all through dietary changes alone.
This journey taught us the power of real food. We had unknowingly harmed ourselves with processed foods, but now, we’re committed to treating our bodies with respect. Today, we celebrate renewed vitality and proof that with commitment, we can reclaim our health and live vibrantly.
